Alameda County Water District (ACWD) is the utility service that provides water and piping to those who live in that county in California. Those who receive water through ACWD have a number of options available to pay their bill and they are discussed below.

Option 1: Alameda County Water Bill Payments Online

To view your bill online and get ready to make payments over the internet on your ACWD account balance, you will need to go to the water utility’s registration page and fill out the forms to get your login credentials set up. After you have a password to go with your account number or associated email address, you can make an online payment by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the web address acwd.org/account
  2. Enter your account number or email address and your account’s password
  3. Click the “Log On” button

Option 2: Pay Your Bill through the Mail

Personal checks, cashier’s checks and money orders may be mailed in for balance payments toward your Alameda County Water District bill. The recipient of the payment should be written as “Alameda County Water District” and the check or money order should have your account number noted somewhere on the face of the check as well. Once the check or money is ready, mail it to the following address:

Option 3: Water Bill Payments over the Phone

To make a payment on your ACWD bill over the phone, you will have to call their pay-by-phone line, which is operated by BillMatrix, by dialing (866) 361-2796. If you decide to make a payment over the phone using BillMatrix, you will be charged a service fee of $3.50. Bill Pay Option 4: In-person Payments for Your Alameda County Water Bill

For those of you who wish to make a payment on an Alameda County Water District account balance in person, there are seven locations around the county that you can visit to complete the transaction. Each of these locations is an ACWD branch. The street addresses are as follows:

Option 5: Alameda County Water Payments through BillMatrix

If you have a preference for making online payments through BillMatrix rather than using the free service that Alameda County Water District offers through CheckFree, you may make an online payment on your account using this bill pay method as well. The fee charged by BillMatrix is $3.95. Using BillMatrix also will allow you to submit a payment on your Alameda County water bill online without having to sign up for an online log in profile.
